History
Alpha Women's Center is what it is today because in 1985 the organization Baptists For Life began a crisis pregnancy center in the greater Grand Rapids area. In 1996, after opening centers in other cities, the center was opened here in Hastings. The center was originally located in downtown Hastings and in 2009 moved to 838 W Green Street. We have now moved to our new location at
533 W State Street.
It is our firm belief that God is responsible for the direction, provision, and we depend on Him to guide us here at the Center. Explore our other links for information about our services, how to get involved, and what you can expect if you visit.

What We Believe
What We Believe
We believe in the authority and sufficiency of the Holy Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, as originally written, inspired, infallible and inerrant.
We believe there is one and only one true and living God, with equality and deity revealed in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the reality and personality of Satan, the Devil. We believe that the salvation of sinners is entirely of grace through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Christ the Lord bore our sins in His own body on the tree, rose from the dead and He is now enthroned in Heaven. We believe in the return of Christ, and that at that moment, the dead in Christ shall be raised in glorified bodies; those alive at His return will be transformed to glorified bodies without tasting death. We believe that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only condition of salvation. Repentance is a change of mind and purpose from sinful behavior to towards God, that is prompted by the Holy Spirit and is an integral part of saving faith.
We believe that all that are truly born again
are kept by God the Father for Jesus Christ.

Why We Do What We Do
Why We Do What We Do
What we believe, directs how we act.
Alpha Women's Center is a faith-based center that values life and offers support to both individuals and families.
Resources include food, formula, diapers, clothing, car seats, and cribs. We seek to share God's love by developing relationships through one-on-one mentoring sessions, instruction, and encouraged through various areas of family life. We unapologetically talk about God, who He is, and how He is present and essential in our lives.
At Alpha Women's Center, we believe in meeting physical and emotional needs all because we recognize the life-giving hope of having spiritual needs satisfied.
Our goal is to provide relevant resources and accurate information applicable to each woman's circumstance. Each client's information is held in strict and absolute confidence as a staff member listens with kindness and shares with honest and open answers, for the benefit of the client and the glory of God.
Often women come to the center with the hope we can meet their physical needs for food, formula, diapers, and clothing for their children. We are honored to help. Tomorrow, they will hunger again and in a few short months their children will outgrow those clothes. We do what we do because we can offer hope in God, the satisfaction of a personal relationship with Him, and the confidence He will direct, provide and meet needs
beyond the now and for eternity.
